He and the song’s co-writers, Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, are being sued by songwriter Ernest Lee Straughter, who reveal ‘Burn’ is way too similar to his song ‘The Reasons Why’, which was recorded by R&B group Reel Tight under the name ‘No More Pain’ in 1998.

This week a federal judge in California who is a musicologist's report as evidence in legal matters noted similarities between the two tracks are accepted.

Meanwhile, Usher's lawyers asked the judge reviewed the case again, perhaps with a rejection, or a bill board's report.
